My daughter is very allergic to the nickel in the metal buttons for jeans. I need to remove the buttons so I can replace them with plastic ones. I have tried other scenarios such as applying clear fingernail polish, applying fabric etc.
I just need to know how to remove the metal button so I can replace it.

The best way is to merely cut the round plug from the inside, with an exacto knife – to make as small a hole and cover the hole with another piece of denim (like darning a sock) and replace the button.

Diesel, True religion, Rock & Republic, or 7 for All Mankind? I bought a pair of True Religion Jeans on sale ($139, original was $216) and I heard they last a very long time, same with Diesel Jeans. Tell your thoughts here! And btw, if you think it’s stupid and ridiculous to buy jeans over $100, and such keep this in mind: Most of these Expensive Designer Labels are:
1.Not made by young children in Asia
2. Many of the brands are made in the USA
3. Made of higher qualty fabric.
4. Usually lasts longer, with the extra hand-made stiching and such…
5. They tend to wear out less over time.

All are great quality. You can’t go wrong with any of them. I own pairs of all except True Religion because they don’t carry my waist size in stores. None of my pairs has been anything less than excellent.

are skorts a stylish option for an active woman over 40?
I’m in my mid 40′s.. look younger though.. am in reasonably good shape. I like to wear skorts in the summer because they seem to be more flattering than shorts.. and cooler than jeans. Is this a real fashion no-no? BTW.. they are the skorts that look like a longish mini skirt.. all the way around.. don’t look like shorts in the back. I have an active lifestyle and like that I can sit.. walk, hike etc.. w/out worrying about showing my underwear to everyone. I just don’t know if I “should” wear them. Capris are apparently a no-no.. so am I just supposed to sweat?
I don’t understand why Capris would be a no no, if you know how to dress them up then they can be a HECK YEAH! Haha. But on a serious note, a lot of older women do begin to start wearing skorts because they feel it appropriate for their age. If I was your age (which would be in 20 years) then I’d probably wear skorts if it made me feel comfortable while looking good. Just as long as it isn’t the kind of skots that show their shorts in the back, now those are a big NO-NO. haha.
